A Gameday For Heroes Mental and Spiritual Initiative

Objective:

Establish a structured approach for providing mental health support, life skills, and spiritual renewal for military and veteran members. The program focuses on offering essential services to our Heroes who have suffered the effects of combat. Gameday For Heroes created the Rally Point program to help our Heroes understand: "Your war is over, let's get your life back."

Narrative:

Gameday For Heroes has initiated the Rally Point program to formalize and expand its Mental Health programs. This new initiative will partner with Shining Tomorrow Counseling to provide comprehensive mental health services, including counseling, group sessions, life coaching, and referral services for veterans nationwide. Rally Point Israel will offer a 6-month program with Christ-Centered group meetings, culminating in an 8-day life-saving journey of spiritual renewal to Israel.

For eight years, Gameday For Heroes has collaborated with an Israel veterans program, offering initiatives culminating in a trip to Israel, profoundly impacting combat veterans. With that program shifting focus to only college students in 2025, Rally Point Israel aims to continue supporting veterans with PTSD and TBI. The program will be led by experienced team leaders George Popdan and Todd Bennett, focusing on spiritual renewal over six months, concluding with the transformative Israel journey.

Program Composition:

The six-month program includes monthly meetings, culminating in the Israel trip. Funding will come from donations and partnerships with religious institutions supporting veterans.

We Need You:

The program will start modestly, constrained by financial support, with an estimated cost of $6000 per participant. We are seeking churches, small groups, organizations, and individual stakeholders to sponsor one Hero per year. This program will provide wonderful feedback for the sponsors, including Hero updates, Meet Your Hero Sessions, and even video calls from the team while in Israel. The program saves souls, introduces Heroes to Grace, and literally saves lives and souls. Please consider joining us!
